Support & Troubleshooting

This page provides practical guidance for resolving common solar system and monitoring issues before lodging a service request.

It helps system owners diagnose and fix basic connectivity and error problems, especially when inverter data stops updating or a monitoring app goes offline.

If you’ve worked through the steps and still need assistance, you can submit our online support form and our team will be in touch.

If your solar app is offline, data has stopped updating, or the inverter is showing an error, the steps below will help you rule out the most common causes before submitting a service request.

Before you start

  • Restarting your inverter can often resolve Wi-Fi dropouts, communication faults, or minor system errors.
  • Make sure your router has 2.4GHz Wi-Fi enabled (many solar Wi-Fi devices need 2.4GHz).
  • If you have changed your router, Wi-Fi name, or password, this will usually stop your inverter communicating with your phone/apps. The inverter (or Wi-Fi dongle/logger) will need to be reconnected to your home network.

When to stop and submit the form

If you have a fault code, a red light, or the inverter is clearly not operating, we recommend you submit the form and we will respond within a couple of days (often sooner).
(If there’s burning smell, smoke, or water ingress: switch off at the main switchboard and contact an electrician.)

  1. Restart your internet
    1. Unplug your router/modem power
    2. Wait 30 seconds
    3. Plug it back in
    4. Wait 2 to 3 minutes
    5. Refresh your solar app
  2. Confirm 2.4GHz Wi-Fi is enabled
Many solar Wi-Fi devices will not connect to 5GHz networks.
  3. Optional: Restart the inverter (only if you are comfortable)
    1. Restarting can clear minor faults and re-establish communications.
    2. Important: Different inverter models have different shutdown sequences. If you are unsure, skip this step and submit the form.
