How to connect your web monitoring
For a detailed guide on how to connect your solar and battery web monitoring, including troubleshooting, please see the below links:
Solar Web Monitoring
We’ve found that most consumers who get solar installed are keen to track their system’s output. That’s why we offer web monitoring with every system we install; all we need is a WIFI signal at the inverter’s location.
Once your solar panels are up and running, we'll set up the monitoring system for you and show you how it works. After that, you can fire up the app any time you want to see real-time data. It’ll show you exactly how much energy your solar panel system is generating — as well as how much money it's saving you.
We can also offer consumption monitoring with the addition of a Smart Meter. The Smart meter provides consumption data, export limiting functionality and enables in depth analysis of your solar system.
Check out the resources below to what solar web monitoring looks like:
Fronius Primo 5
This monitoring is offered free with your Fronius Solar system. All we need is a decent WIFI signal at the inverter and your WIFI password, with this available our installers can hook you up in a matter of minutes.
Fronius Smart Meter
The smart meter shows solar power production, current power consumption and power back to grid. The Smart Meter is an extra device from Fronius that is usually installed in the switchboard with a data cable back to the inverter. The single-phase smart meters require two spaces on the din-rail and three phase devices need four.
Fronius Gen24 with BYD Battery
The system displayed here shows a Fronius/Canadian Solar solar system with a BYD battery connected. You can see everything from PV generation to export, self-consumption from both the battery and the solar, battery state of charge and system savings summaries. Pretty cool.
Solar Edge
This monitoring is offered free with your SolarEdge Solar system. This system displayed in this example includes consumption data which requires the installation of a SolarEdge Smart Meter.
